MBA Job Search: Thank You Letter to my Career Coach!

Readers,
The best part of my career counseling work is seeing the success of my clients! So, I'd like to share a lovely letter from a business professional that I coached.

I helped her create a career action-plan which included: re-branding her resume, LinkedIn profile, identifying networking opportunities and targeted, interview coaching. Her effort and diligence paid off!

Subject: Thank You!

RE: MBA National Level Scholarship & Career Advancement

Good afternoon,
I am writing to thank each and every one of you for helping me at some point in my MBA at the University of Georgia. I just learned that I received the National Level NBMBAA Scholarship for $5,000 based off of my scholastic achievements, leadership and a wonderful recommendation by a professor.

Sharon, thank you for helping me prepare my resume and with our mock interviews! I was poised, confident, and in control for each round of interviews. I also wanted to thank you for preparing me for my most recent career advancement into Sales Management in the Los Angeles area. I am happy to say that my salary has more than doubled from when I first entered the program and for the first time in my career, I will hit six figures this year. Thank You!!

I hope that my testimony somehow reaches current and future MBA students because my story is proof that you can and will succeed and surpass your goals IF you are hard-working, diligent, forward-thinking, and a visionary.

I highly encourage other students to be involved in MBA networking activities both within and outside of Terry College of Business because the possibilities for advancement are endless. You will be happy to know that my new company has an awesome giving campaign in which employees are encouraged to participate; I chose the University of Georgia Alumni Association as one of my organizations to which I will be donating a portion of my pay each pay period for 2016. It's the least I can do.

So once again, thank you and Happy Holidays!!!

Alumni of Terry College,
UGA Class of 2015

  1. Even after completing studies in most of the occasion we are unable to set a suitable career; therefore we need to follow career coaching from different organizations or institutions. A career coach will play a vital role in our career development; we are able to learn some basic fundamentals parts on how to grow our career after education from a career coach. So the importance of career counseling and career coaching is really important.
